Default Hello Glucose Buddies.

My name is H, and I am 52 years old. I have a wonderful wife and 5 awesome children ages 26-14. I found out on Tuesday I have diabetes. They haven't told me 1 or 2. The Dr said it was hard to determine immediately. I have sensed I was diabetic for a bit now. I am 6'1" and in December I weighed 205. today I am 180. I didn't exercise more, I didn't change my diet. The weight loss, continual thirst and peeing all night tipped me off to some thing is wrong and research pointed me to Diabetes.

In meeting with the Dr. My BG was 311 on Tuesday and my A1C was 13. Wow!!! Not Good. He put me on Lantus and Novolog and my reading this morning before breakfast was 132. I have been reading some of the posts, and have gone to the 3 mentioned posts in the forum. Thanks for the information. It is so helpful for newbies like me.

I look forward to connecting with this board for help, information and encouragement and to give the same.
