41 year old male just diagnosed with Type 2. My numbers weren't aweful but they weren't great,however, I am disappointed to Learn that in June of 2013 that my fasting BG was 119 and my GP did not notify me and therefore I continued on until recently when my annual lab results were slightly higher yet I was still not notified and the only reason I noticed them because they were on my PATIENT PORTAL as I went to pay my bill online. Out of curiosity, I opened my lab results and then "I" notified them (my Drs office) only to go in and have my A1C tested to find it was above 7!!! I will be changing Drs but is there any legal action since he has cost me almost 2 years of untreated Diabetes whereas I could have only been dealing with PREDIABETES.
