Default morning blood sugars

My morning blood sugars are 160 to 190. No rhyme or reason. I don't eat after 7pm. I work out after dinner for at least 45 minutes. My blood sugar goes down to 125 to 150. I drink about two quarts of water a day. I eat 30 grams of carbs, good ones, with each meal. My snacks are small and healthy and low carb. I'm only on 1000 of metformin and 100 of Januvia. Wouldn't it make sense that if I was on more metformin my morning blood sugars would be lower and therefore the rest of them too because I only go up by 40 to 60 points after meals???? Help. On meds for three weeks and frustrated because I'm doing it right. I also get 9,000 to 10,000 steps in a day at work. Before workout.
