Default Scary Hypoglycemia Episodes

Recently I went through a diabetic seizure, which hasn't happened in seven years! It all started when I went out one night with a friend for dinner, once I got home I covered for it. I also took my dosage of Lantus, stayed up for another 20 minutes and went to bed. What throws me off so much is I, like others, usually wake up when a low hits me. Which typically I feel when it's in the 50's. But like I said I went to bed and in the morning the people I lived with had to call 911. Paramedic's came and my BS was only 58! They gave me a sugar IV drip and after they brought me up to the 200's I still wouldn't come around. They took me to the hospital, this whole time I am essentially knocked out. I can not answer any of there questions. I have an upcoming appt with my doctor, but has anyone else experienced something like this?
