Hospital meters are more exact but make sure there are no contaminants on fingers or supplies before testing. Also try a new meter, doctor have meters for free or you can try to call the company and ask for one for free.

Always carry a I.d. Bracelet and a glucagon kit and instruct friends and family on how to use it in emergency.

Know the symptoms of low blood sugar. Talk to your doctor about a emergency situation.

Possible cause is that you bolused to early before eating and you were rapidly dropping without any food to stabilize your sugars.

Also ask your doctor to adjust your basil and bolus rates for activities and carb intakes.
If you feel low always try to get a drink with sugar. Liquids will enter your blood stream faster then solids. Also carry Glucose tablets.

While sugar level of 80 might be normal for some people, it might not be right for you due to intense reactions. Ask yor doctor to set your average higher.

Hope this helps!!!
