Default Hi, I'm Jill

I am 17 and just got diagnosed with type 1 in January of this year. It was such a shock for me and my family because even though I runs in my family, no one expected it. It was also right around the time of final exams so it made my life even more stressful! My teacher at school also has type 1 and has had it for about 4 years. She is such a great role model because she manages her life so well. If I didn't have her, my life would be a mess. Right now I'm having a hard time mentally coping with it, just thinking about it sometimes, gets me worked up. But I have decided that I am going to just live my life and not make diabetes a huge part of it!
