Default what a surprise

Hello all.
I was recently diagnosed with having Type 2 diabetes with an A1C of 6.8. I have never been aware of this and when the Dr. dropped the bomb on me, I was in denial for a few weeks as well as a little depressed. I have accepted it and since, I have dropped 15 lbs and exercise regularly as much as I can.
I have found that my levels have significantly dropped to an average of about 6.3 on most readings. My lowest reading since being diagnosed was 5.5 mmol 2 hours after a meal.
I am devoted to beating this and I will reverse this condition.
I believe this all has to do with my physical activity coming to a halt after a car accident I had in late December. I stopped playing sports and I have recently returned back to work to discover that with more consistent walking and movement, my levels actually are much better.
I am 45 years old with 2 children and I plan to stay healthy for many years to come!
My advice to everyone with a type 2 diabetes is to be grateful of all the blessings around you and to remember that only you can change your life.
Eat well, exercise and live life healthier than those without diabetes.
I have been given a second chance to change my lifestyle and poor eating habits and I will overcome this!

Paul
