Question Rash from Tape...Ideas?

I am diagnosed Type 1.5 since November 2016 age 40. Seems the "honeymoon" phase is over and I'm considering a pump. However, when I did a trial of a CGM from Medtronic for 7 days, I suffered a rash from the tape used to secure the device to my belly. The rash persisted for nearly a month after removal. The rash was only in the area of the tape, not the adhesive connected to the device.

Anyone have similar experience? Is there a solution? Unfortunately the irritation of the rash far exceeded the pain and inconvenience of the insulin injections.
