Question Newly diagnosed

I was just diagnosed with T1 (kinda) new years eve (about a month ago). I knew something was going on, lately I was urinating frequently, insatiable thirst, some blurred vision. All of these symptoms had been developing over a week or two. At a party i asked a relative to test my bg as their child has t1. My bg was 480 after just having finished dinner. I went to the hospital, was hydrated, 10u insulin, and Metformin pill. 2 hours later I was on my way home with just enough information to get me by and a bg of 311. Since then I have been taking Janumet 50/500 twice a day and taking 10u Levemir at night. My average bg for the last 2-1/2 weeks is 94. I even had a low a few times in the 65-75 range. Now my dr. has taken me off the long acting insulin and kept me on the Janumet 2 times daily. I am pretty fit, playing hockey and walking/jogging weekly. Anyone else in the same boat, really not knowing what my diagnosis is? My guess is that it's LAAD. I tested positive (low) for GAD antibodies and my C-peptide level was in the low normal range. I feel great and am eating very well.
