Default Dumb question I probably shouldn't be asking

...but I will anyway since everyone here is so helpful.

After researching and weighing the options, I want to get on the Dexcom G4 CGM and Animas Ping Combo. I currently have a Medtronic Paradigm pump, although it has been taking up residence in my drawer since I've been on a pump vacation for quite some time.

Where do I start? Should I call my insurance company? Call Animas and Dexcom? I see that Dexcom has some paperwork that you can fill out on their website and they seem to "take care of the rest". Can I get any sort of financial bonus for returning my Paradigm to Medtronic?

My next Endo appointment is in mid-April...should I just wait? I'd like to get the ball rolling and make this as easy as possible for my endocrinologist (and myself too).

I'm really nervous my insurance is going to laugh at me and not approve either. Any tips for getting approved?
