Default menstrual

So recently I was in the hospital and during my stay I started my menstrual cycle. Well it's been almost two weeks and it hasn't stop. Is this b/c my body is adjusting to my levels? Or is it my hormones? Could it be I need a new pill? There's a bunch of reasons to this....or should I call my gyno. I do have an appointment with my endro, I could ask her? Anyone have any advise please help!!! :/ thanks!

I went for months with either no period or very little. Once I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and was started on metformin my cycles returned to normal the very first month. Your diabetes and Meds can definitely affect your cycles. Hope this helps!!

I think it is better that you consult with your gyno about this, even if your diabetes meds are going on, your menstrual cycle is also need to be cared of. As irregular periods and long lasting periods for more than 7 to 8 days both are serious issues which should not be ignored.

Yeah I definitely agree amandahuper. Recently I heard that birth control pills are also used to get the regular menstrual cycle.
