WHOLE-30 day diet...try it...
I'm a 51 yr old type-2 diabetic, pretty good shape 185lbs, 5'6", but my morning readings were typically 125 to 135. My wife suggested we try this 30-day diet. There are books on this, so do you research and FOLLOW IT WITHOUT CHEATING! I had to eliminate ALL dairy, no grains/beans, ALL SUGARS, including researching ingredients in products like lunch-meat, but you can eat all the veggies (except peas and corn, my two favorites...damn!), veggies you can eat. You can eat nuts to your heart's content.
It's easier if you have a partner on-board to help with this, I couldn't have done it alone! Anyway, soon as I started this diet, my morning blood dropped to 90 or below, consistently around or below 100. While I didn't lose any weight on this diet, my bloodwork is now excellent! Now that we have concluded our 30-day plan, we are now carefully reintroducing items individually to see their affect; for example, I had LIFE cereal and almond milk for breakfast and my blood spiked to 246! So, I no longer eat Life cereal. This week, I'm going to introduce some pasta and see what happens. I would invite comments from others who may have tried this diet, it would be interesting to hear similar (or dissimilar) results. |

I'm having a similar experience. Prediabetic for four years. Been trying to lose weight and started biking 16 miles a day 18 months ago. My glucose barely moved. Went on Whole30 two days ago and my fasting glucose today was 91. Amazing.

Where can I find the whole 30 diet? I am a new diagnosed diabetic with morning blood of 150. I am at the experimental stage of what to eat and not. Any info would be appreciative
