Consider this as a warning and work on keeping your sugars low. I have neglected and regret that.

I would look up classes at your local hospital. You could also go to your local drugstore and ask for information on the subject. If your provider is knowledgeable you can ask them to help you navigate these waters. I'm T1 and have been for over a decade but having others in your life helping you is a major relief.

Change your lifestyle completely if you haven't done it already. Avoid, junk processed foods and eat healthy foods like vegetables , lean meat, fish, whole grains, beans and berries. Exercise is a must, do sleep for about 8 hours in the night. Try to avoid, tension, depression and negative thoughts and people. Stay happy and healthy. Eat healthy super foods to boost immunity like blue berries, spinach, leafy greens, avocado, nuts, beans, whole grains, fish etc.
You can eat green leafy vegitables, especially methi, and cabbage, bottle guard, bitter gaurd etc., just avoid daily eating of potato, carrot, beet and sweet pumpkin. you can eat these veg. occationally. Avoid too much of milk based items, sweets and avoid sacrine. Eat chapatis, roties instead of rice. And don't eat full stomach once. eat 4 to 5 times daily. and don't be starve. Ding yoga especially pranayam and kapal bhati daily for 15 mins.and suryanamaskar minimum of 11 times and go for a brisk walk(if you don't have heart problems) for 5 km. 2 to 3 times in a week. All these will keep you healthy. And don't forget to take tablet priscribed by your doctor. Last edited by wasibbelf1945; 08-31-2015 at 11:37 AM. |

I'm a little confused. BG 100-120 sounds great to me, that's what normal healthy people's level, isn't it?

BG should be under 90 fasting. No more than 120 after eating. I am still learning. Trying to cut carbs to lower BG. Walking more. If I don't get mine down I have to start mess. Really don't want that.

The medical profession keeps lowering the levels so they can put everyone on medication. It's all about the money.
Years ago if your A1C was under 7 and BG under 150, you were fine. They lower that all the time. Last time I checked, they want A1C under 5.7 and BG between 65-99. (I don't know anyone over 50 that could possibly reach that ridiculous goal.) |
