Hi, I have diabetes for 8yrs now. Insulin dependant but not diagnosed as any type diabetes yet. Not sure why. Had my first emergency last week DKA and thought I should maybe keep a little tighter control and get support. hbjl

Your Type is most-likely "Insulin Dependent - Type 2". Irregardless, you have it and you are here, that is the main thing. Welcome aboard!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better.
