Default Body building for Type 1

Hi, I have been a Type 1 diabetic since the age of 27, before that I use to be quite fit and regular with Gym or Sports, but went in severe depression post diagnosis and stopped all physical activities thereafter.

Now I'm 43 and am living a good life with some discipline, I workout at the Gym and am quite ripped too... I know it has been doubly tough for me getting in this shape versus my peers who do not suffer from any hormonal misbalance as I do.

Anyone else here who has already achieved a BMI of 19 and has 6 pack abs- how did you do it?

There are a lot of things you can do. First make sure you eat right after your workout but increase your carbs. Also their is a supp. Called waxy maze it is a starch drink that mixed with protein during your workout. Make sure to bolus accordingly. Most important is being on a strict diet. I eat 5oz of chicken with 1 1/2 cups of rice 4 times a day. Breakfast is 6 egg whites with a bowl of oatmeal. Create a meal plan that you like. Also adjust your amount of cardio. I'd you start loosing too much weight cut back. If you gain too much increase. By doing this I have gonefrom 131 pounds to 193. On last thing 1 gallon of water a day.
