Welcome to the Forum!
Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

Thank you very much, I work with patients who have diabetes so I am aware of a lot of the diet & other things. I just don't like the finger sticks.

Finger sticks!
I don't mind the finger sticks, but I HATE it when I prick my finger and not enough blood comes out to activate the strip! Then, it's another stick (usually try another finger), not to mention another test strip!
In over 2 years of having Type-2, I've lowered my A1c from 11.5% to 5.2% mostly with diet, exercise and Metformin 2x day. Good luck! Clint. |
