Default diagnosed with gest diabetes

I was just diagnosed with gest diabetes? I have been testing my sugars twice a day and just realized I have been using the same lancet. Does any one ever reuse lancets and is this safe?

I reuse mine all the time. I will use it for several days before I switch it out. As long as your fingers are clean and you are using alcohol wipes you should be fine. Just don't share it!

Agreed with the previous response. I'll switch out the needle part of the lancet every few days to a week when it starts hurting more. I test 4x a day though (fasting plus after each meal) so that would dull the needle faster.

The inserts are usually generic and cheap at Walmart.
