Default moving to iPhone4

Hi there,

I have a question regarding my GB data and my upgrade to the next gen iPhone.

I'm afraid I'm gonna loose all my GB data when I get my new phone. Or will a "backup/restore" of the phone be able to keep my logs ???

Also, I purchased the "in app" BP+WT premium features, what will happen when I install GlucoseBuddy on my new phone ? Will the premium feature be activated again automatically, will I need to "re-purchased" them and not be charged for it ?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Thx for the answer,

I'll post a reply when ("if", as even a pre-reservation does not ensure me there will be enough stock ...) I get my new phone and restore a backup.

The reason I'd like to keep my data on the phone is that the graphs on the website are using flash, so I cannot access them from my iPhone or iPad.

I updated to iOS4 last night and everything was there...GB was the first app I checked! I'm unable to add an entry from within a log using the " + " option but have no trouble selecting Add Log on the GB home screen to add an entry. Sync worked without a problem...

So happy to hear you're working out the bugs with app crashing. GB is only one of about three apps on my iPod that I care about losing.

Ok got my new phone, restored the 3GS backup, everything is exactly like I left it on the 3GS at backup time. Didn't event had to "repurchase" the premium features.

The only thing is that I upgraded my 3gs to IOS4 before, not sure you can restore a 3.x backup on a device running 4.x.

btw the iPhone4 is just amazing ...

Default iTunes and upgrading to a new iPhone 4

iTunes will backup your system before it updates your new phone.

You should't have to upgrade the to iSO 4 on the all new phones. Apple my start shipping out some new phones with per-installed iSO4. If not do not try to upgrade first. Go to Apples web site and read up on how to do this. Yhey will provide you with a step by step instructions. One other thing. When you upgrade it my take some time, DO NOT turn of your computer. Let it run. It may take over night. Also Backup your computer before you start. If you using a Mac your will need to do all your updates with iTunes. The back up using time machine. For PC users check with Microsoft support on how to back up iTunes if you need help.

iTunes files have all your music, Video and iPhone data. Backing up this is a "Must Do"
