Vgo
I recently started using the VGO 40 which is actually a disposable insulin delivery device and I'm so happy with it!

Re: V go
I too recently tried out the Vgo 20 . There are many aspects of this delivery system I I did like. Very easy & fast to fill and attach. My BG levels (except for day 1 & day 6) were excellent. My basal on the Vgo, as opposed to my pump, seems to be more effective & I don't know why. Easy to shower/ bathe w/ out removing - nice. Some things I did not like about the Vgo: removing adhesive - hard to do with just soap. I swim a lot - would need to remove while diving & swimming. Not enough extra vgos in a given monthly prescription to accommodate my lifestyle. Hence I think the pump is still the best choice for me because Ican remove it when necessary. But my Medtronic pump isn't working. Medtronic tells me there is nothing wrong with the pump - that it is me. But there Is something wrong & it is not me . So in a quandary still... |

RE Vgo
I also just started testing the use of the Vgo-20, after the first 6 days, I moved to the vgo-40, and I'm starting to see results over the way I was taking insulin. Jury is still out though, until I can swing the clubs!

Is this correct? I swim a lot as well, my understanding was that these were fine in the water. I just started the vgo 20 yesterday on a trial basis and trying to decide if its a good long term solution...

Also, within 2 days I accidentally popped the release after it had been on for only 2 hours. I hate waste, much less having to do the same thing more than necessary, is there a good "best practice" to avoid that?

I have been using the VGO for 3 years. For me it's a great product for my live and work. I use uni-solve adhesive remover wipes and I.V. Prep antiseptic wipes by smith&nephew for prepping and removal of VGO.
VGO can be installed horizontal, vertical, angled and works without problems. I switch from inside of my stomach to the other. I like to keep the manual insert button at top and eject button at bottom. It's a trial and error depending on what you like best. |

VGO 30
New to it, am really liking it. I feel a slight burn when the insulin goes in |
