Carbs per day is a function of calories per day. Each of us has a different requirement. The following web link will help you calculate your individual carbs per day: http://www.diabetesnet.com/diabetes_...#axzz106QfmQDs
I hope that it helps.

It calculate that I needed about 280 carbs per day. Heck, if I ate that much, my blood sugars would be sky high. I have to stay under a 100 carbs or trouble starts. Of course what type of carbs plays a big role

I keep my carbs at 30g net per day. This really helps me keep my numbers in the normal range for non-diabetics. I am a type II. Before I was on this very low carb WOE my A1c was 7.4. At that time I was eating between 100-200g of carb per day.
