Default Nuts causing after breakfast spike?

Hi All. I'm a little confused. Why would raw nuts (both mixed and only almonds) cause my blood sugar levels to spike after breakfast? Plain yoghurt, cinnamon and Glucerna as base usually gives me a post-prandial reading of 7 - 8. Add about 24 nuts and it spikes to above 10.

I'm on Lanctus (12 units) and Galvusmet 50/1000 bd.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Almonds probably not, but the mixed could. Brazil and cashews seem to be a little rich.
