Cool firedog

I have been a type 2 diabetic for many years. I'm 65 and still have problems keeping my blood level fairly even. I'm still roller-coasting. I'm Hoping this app will help me keep a better trac and therefore a better bllod level.

Welcome to the Forum!

You probably are aware of this, but I will send it anyway. Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

Keeping track of your numbers, particularly your A1C, & seeing the improvement as you learn to adapt to healthy eating & lifestyle changes, gives a sense of empowerment & I guess you could call it "pride in accomplishing a job well done", which in turn helps one to become more determined to "overcome the beast", instead of it ruling you. Quite a lot of satisfaction as you see the numbers levelling out & you begin to feel better in yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back (don't be a pain to rest of the family), for a job well done in getting on top of the numbers as you need & want to.
Take care & best of luck. It's great to have a Forum like this, where we can discuss issues & discuss strategies for achieving our goals. Happy weekend everyone.
