cholesterol medicine and high glucose readings
Seems I only have high glucose in the morning then it slowly goes down to under 100 by afternoon even after 2 meals. Daytime 2 hrs after eating 114 dinner 2hrs after 99 then go to bed with a 99 and wake up with 140. The only thing I take each night before bed is simvastatin

Take a look at Dawn Phenomenon. Most people find that eating a small snack before bed helps with this. Usually a handful of almonds will do as a snack.

High am readings
Blood sugar readings are typically higher in the am. The body works in such a way that the cortisol levels spike overnight lending to a higher reading in the am. I also take chol. medication. I am not sure if there is a correlation, perhaps asking your MD. I also find that if I have a 1 carb choice HS snack, which my diabetic educator told me to do, my blood sugars are a little higher in the am then if I do not have that snack. Peoples bodies are different and react differently. Also, the amount of insulin you are producing may also have some effect. I found diabetic education plus talking with my Dr. usually gives me the answers I need. I know there is a lot of hype out there saying chol. medications add to or cause diabetes. Sometimes it is hard to know what to believe.

It's not unusual to have high blood sugar reading in the morning. I think eating healthy foods and using natural home remedies can also help in reducing cholesterol and blood sugar levels. There are some effective home remedies for lowering high cholesterol level that I found really helpful in this case. Simple foods like orange juice, lemon, omega-3, oatmeals, nuts, avocado, apple cider vinegar, honey, onions, Indian gooseberry, garlic, turmeric really work like magic in reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
