Default Just started testing

I was recently diagnosed and have been testing daily for about a month. I am curious why my glucose levels are the highest out of bed compared to 2 hour post meal measurements. I haven't had a chance to talk to my doctor but figures that should be the lowest reading.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

My CDE told me that our bodies can be more or less sensitive to insulin at different times of the day. Maybe you're less sensitive to your nighttime insulin and need a little more. Talk to your dr. about it.
