Glimeperide dropped me so low I had to go to the emergency room. I was down in the 30's. My Dr. said that this med tends to do that. She took me off of it. I only use Byetta now.

Doesn't Byetta make you nausea? I did it for a while and hated it...

The first day it did but after that I had no problem. Byetta has worked the best for me.

I have been using glimepiride for about 3 years. For me sugars go down after 3hrs but was able to manage by scheduling meal times.

I was on glemiperide for just over a month. Made my vision bad. Saw eye Dr and got new glasses. Had them fitted and couldn't see with them. Off med. for 3 days and went back to eye Dr. and my eyes went back closer to my previos prescription. Staying off meds for 3 more weeks and back to eye Dr. We'll see what happens.
