New here. Doctor considers me pre-diabetes. My last A1c was 6.9. Been testing my BG, per doc suggestion, because the first day I tested it was 105, I think. (I'd have to look.) Anyway, I'm wondering what is the best testing site for blood? Where is the most accurate? One day I tested it on my arm and it was 111. I was shocked it was that high and thought it was wrong and immediately put in a new strip and did a finger stick and it was 123. As I said, I'm new to this, although I had gestational diabetes with my two daughters 22 and 25 yrs ago. I'm now 53. The meter I'm using is a Bayer. (I can't believe how small they've gotten since the one I had 25 yrs ago. lol). Thanks! Any help would be great!!

The most accurate place for the blood glucose test is the finger tip. The best way to take the test is on either side of the tip, since taking it in the center will cause you more pain during and after the test. I hope this information helps.

Diabetes is the most threatening disease i have ever seen..I have lost my two little brothers from diabetes and since then i would recommend all the patients have control on their diabetes by regular exercising and proper diet control...
