Default new to this and nervous

Hi everyone. I am 32 and app 15 weeks with #3. At my last dr visit my dr said when they did one of my tests I was at 156. I am to go to a diabetic nutrition person, and get more educated. I am completely lost I don't know the first thing about GD. So if anyone has advice or links please share. I know my dr said to make sure and eat, but there are times when I either am just not hungry or the nausea is to much and I can't keep anything down. Any advice? Thanks to all of you.

I was nervous too the first time I heard the news. This is my 3rd pregnancy with diabetes and it's a piece of cake. The meeting about what and how much to eat is very informative. They should give you a book that has all the foods and carb amounts. They will also give you the amounts of carbs you can eat for each meal. There are 15 grams of carbs for each serving. You can usually eat 2-3 for breakfast and 3-4 for lunch and dinner. You will also have 3 snacks in between meals. The most important snack is right before bed. G.D. Just means that your body is not producing enough insulin to support you and your baby. The extra sugar is going to the baby and causes health problems for the baby if it's not controlled. That is why it is so important to follow the diet. The baby will get extra unhealthy fat and can cause him or to grow way too big. Once you get the diet info and start reading labels, you will find the right foods and develop a routine that meets your needs. It's great to get in the habit of reading labels now and the diet will stay with you even after pregnancy.
