Hello from a new user
My name is John Lutes, I am 65, and have had type 2 diabetes for about 10 years (maybe more). I have only been giving it attention for the last year or so, and not very successfully I might add.
I found Glucose Buddy with a Google search, and have completed my first day of logging meter readings. My Doc "great guy" has been on me like a duck on a June bug to pay attention to the diabetes, and has now said I must use insulin. I have refused and will once again try to control this monster with diet, exercise and common sense. So for me I guess it is "Glucose Buddy" or the needle. Still not sure about all the "buttons" in Glucose Buddy, and have been looking for instructions. I will give it a couple more days of searching before I start asking dumb questions. |

John;
Welcome to the Forum! Read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance. The only help information available can be found in the "GB Help" thread. If your doctor has prescribed insulin, I would suggest that you take his advice. Normally, the meds (pills) will only help you for about 10 years. Apparently, they are not doing their job any more. The insulin will most likely be the best thing that you have done, it is for many. Good luck with your control and management!
