Default Learning at a Rapid Rate

I was diagnosed with Type 2 a few days ago. My BG was 554. I'm 57, 6'4" and was 270 lbs. but lost 25 lbs. before I was diagnosed (loved that part of all this). I've tried to elimanate all processed sugar, white flower and starches. I'm eating tons of vegetables and more fruit. This morning before breakfast my number was 194. I need more exercise. I guess I'm rambling so I think I'll go lift weights.

Welcome to the Forum!

It looks like you are on the right track. Just remember to take it easy on the fruits, even though they are good for you (they are natural sugars), they will spike your blood sugars. Good luck with your control and management.
