Hello!
Hi. I found out Thursday I have type 1 diabetes. I am a slim, active 28 year old. I couldn't believe it!! I started Lantus Solostar pen Friday night. At first I wanted to keep my diabetes a secret but as you can imagine, one person told one person who told one person. Everybody knows now. After a humbling talk from a cancer survivor I don't care who knows! His advice "Tell everyone & use them for their knowledge. You never know who can help or who knows someone who can help." I'm feeling okay with it now!! I've learned that so many people live with this every day & I never even knew!
