Cool Januvia

I'm not diabetic, my BG level and A1C are slightly higher than the
"Norm," and my dr insisted I take that God-awful drug Metformin. Kicking and screaming, I took one pill. Within an hour I was itchy from head to toe... I am allergic to it!! What a relief, I've seen how debilitating this drug is to many of my friends, they have become virtual recluses because with no warning they would start vomiting or have explosive diarreah. I couldn't live like that. He put me on Januvia and so far aside from a little nausea, I've been ok as far
As side effects go.
Is anyone else on this drug? How is it working for you? It gotta pretty bad rating on ask a patient.com.

I have been on Januvia for a few months now and I seem to really like it they took me off of it because they run out of samples in my doctors office and put me on a different pill and this different pill side effects is known for DKA I was already sick when started to take this pill I ended up in ICU from taking the new pills that they main side effect is going into DKA. doctors determined that I am a type one diabetic and not a two and being sick as I was not knowing what was going on when into DKA they have now put me back on my Januvia and I am also on insulin 20 units of the evening but I feel so much better now

I've taken Junuvia for several years. I have had no side effects. I have to taken Glipizide with it. There's no side effects taking both for me. Glipizide ...hope I spelled it right...works well for me. There's a time release one now which helps with low blood sugar.

I had diarrehea on Metformin for the first week or so, but you have to let it get into your system. No issues now. But now also on Januvia. I haven't started it yet.

How many here on both, and any issues that I need to know about?

Are you still on Januvia? I was on it for about a year when it almost killed me. I had an attack of pancreatitis with an abdominal bleed. I had 14 units of blood in a 24 hr period and spent 3 months in the hospital.
