Default type 2 diabetes in children

Does anyone know what a good blood glucose reading is for children with type two diabetes. My 16-year-old daughter has type two diabetes and we took a reading before she ate which was 70 just wasn't sure if this was a good reading and what's considered good or bad for her age

Her readings should be the same as anyone else's with Type 2. The 70 is not a hypo, it is just on the lower end of the scale. Anything below 70 is a hypo and should be treated with 15 carbs and tested 15 minutes later. This is the "Rule of 15".

Here are my preferred readings:
70-99 Fasting (Out of Bed)
70-120 During the Day, but I prefer to keep at an average of 100.

Years ago, it was unusual to hear about children with type 2 diabetes, but now it is common. Early laboratory tests or home monitoring through devices provided is essential to get better cure in quick time. In type 2 diabetes, the body’s cells become unable to respond properly to the insulin that causes high sugar levels and become a cause of many health problems.

It is sad to here about your kids diagnosis, but do not lose hope and try your to cure diabetes. In general, kids with type 1 diabetes need to take insulin as prescribed, eat a healthy, balanced diet, paying special attention to the amount of carbohydrates in each meal and the diabetes meal plan, check blood sugar levels several times a day and last but not the least get regular physical activity.
