I have type 2 diabetes. I am a male 66 years old and I have had it about 12 years. I control it with diet, shots, and pills. What's the best way to use this site?

Welcome to the Forum!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. Even though you are an experienced T2, these threads may help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better.

The best way to use the website is to utilize the information for creating a doctor's report and for self evaluation of your own control and management. The best way to use the forum site is to ask questions for personal growth and to provide answers to other peoples questions, in order to assure that they don't make the same mistakes that we have previously made in the past.

Good luck with your control and management.
