I am 36 years old. I was diagnosed with Diabetes type 1 at the age of 7. Our 18 year old son was diagnosed at the age of 6. My father was diagnosed at the age of 17. I just want to share that even though is a challenging condition it is manageable. With ups and downs but we have close to normal lives. It is always good to hear from others and exchange experiences. Curiously enough the three of us have the same blood type. So I guess in our case is inherited.
