Default New to diabetes

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 3 weeks ago when a blood test showed very high glucose levels, I was sent straight to hospital (I live in France) so the language was a problem - apparently I was hours away from a coma that I might not have come round from, the silly thing is I didn't feel ill but since taking medication I feel ill all the time, I was given Metformin to start with which gave me Diarrhoea so they have changed it to Xelevia which is keeping levels good but not sorted the Diarrhoea so wondering if this is caused by something else... anyway I am so glad to have found this site and I am sure I will find it so useful

Hi Roz! Welcome to the Forum!

Many times the meds given to T2 patients cause nausea. These symptoms usually subside in couple of weeks. Google search your med names and look at the side effects. Good luck with your control and management.
