glycemic friendly birthday cake
getting ready to celebrate my 60th birthday, & I have only known I am diabetic for less than a month. Any great recipes for a cake I can have a slice of and not send my BS skyrocketing?

I am not a big fan of deserts, nor am I a cook or pastry chef. However, I will take a stab at this. The body of the cake is not your biggest problem, the icing usually is. That being said, try to look for a receipt that uses cool whip as an icing. You may even want to use cupcakes or muffins. You may even find diabetes friendly recipes for cakes.
Good luck and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
