Brian;

Welcome to the Forum!

It gets better in time. There is a lot of things that you can still eat, in moderation. You may want to look into carb counting. Good luck making the transition!

Brian my name is Karen. I am 42 and less diagnosed 12/10/10. Like you I wondered around my house and the grocery store thinking what can I eat. I knew what I couldn't, at least I thought I did. I twas scared. I didn't feel well and struggled with why me. I asked my doctor he told me that meat and vegetables. No fruit that produces a syrup( good luck with that one ) and no carve they turn into sugar. This did give me a good starting point. Talk to your doctor, ask to go to a dietician. Hang in there you will get up the mountain. Take a day at a time. I hope this helps.
