continuous glucose monitoring app for Apple watch- does it work?

How is the testing is done exactly? A website says you wear a band around the waist, another article says you insert a chip under the skin, has anyone tried it, and what's your thought on it?

The app pairs with a Dexcom CGM. You will need the Dexcom first. https://gigaom.com/2015/02/09/an-app...with-diabetes/
