Smile New User of Glucose Buddy

My name is Claudia and I am a Type 2 Diabetic. I was diagnosed about 15 years ago so I am NOT new to diabetes and the trials and tribulations of controlling "out-of-control" blood sugar. I have recently become quite obsessed with logging every thing I eat and drink every day and logging my exercise as well. I am feeling really positive about this process and cannot recommend it enough to newly diagnosed diabetics because it is a real eye-opener as to what exactly I am consuming and how each food, exercise impacts my blood sugar. I have, at times, had very well-controlled blood sugar and at others been completely out of control. I feel I should have followed my doctors advice years ago and logged all this much earlier. I probably would not have fallen "off the wagon" so many times in the past!! I look forward to sharing what I've learned in 15 years of struggling with this disease and learning from all of you as well!

I have been married to my husband Glen for 45 years and have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. I am a retired community college instructor and I want to do everything I can to have a healthy, active retirement for as long as I possibly can! :-)

Welcome to the Forum!

Well said! Most of us can't express the need enough, for counting carbs, logging data and the need for testing often. Good luck with your control and management.
