Hi all. I found this app because i desperately did not want to do any of it by hand. I am loving the app and find it very convenient. I just hand my dr my phone and let him look at my logs that way. but out of control... several months ago, my bs started going fairly high. I was put on glipizide, and then also victoza. it worked for only a few weeks when my waking sugars were close to 300. we added metformin but i had a reaction to it and i had to stop it. Now i am on insulin. I use a long acting insulin at night, 55 units now, (started at 17), glipizide in am and pm, and a short acting insulin 3 times a day on a sliding scale. I am having a very difficult time understanding why we can't get my sugar under control. Anyway, I hope to learn a lot from this forum. Thanks for having me!

Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
