Default losing a toe!

New to this forum and enjoying it. I've had 10 years of inconsistent care of my diabetes. Injured my toe and became infected - and lost it! This is my "come to Jesus" moment.
Cut my diet to 1700 calories per day - no sugar - very little carbs - etc. got my blood sugar to 90's with no meds! Lost 20 lbs in 1st month. BP fell into line along with cholesterol.
Felt shame in letting it go for too long but now taking control and feel excited!
Just need to learn to stop walking in circles!
