Default Motivation - What a week

My BS have been going bonkers lately, it's like the Diabetes gods were laughing at me. I was diagnosed with Type II 17 years ago when I was 40 and have had my BS under control until recently. Labs and a doctors visit on Wednesday, Dietitian on Thursday. As of yesterday I am counting carbs and using Humalog in addition to Lantus for the first time. And another hour of Pilates or swimming every week.

Just to top it off, I visited one my wood turning club friends this afternoon who is selling his tools because he is too sick to use them. He recently had all of his toes on his right foot amputated and is now using a walker. While we were talking about tools, he mentioned that he was diagnosed with Type II the same year I was. He is about 20 years older than I am. I kept on asking myself the question, will I be too sick to use my shop in 20 years? I have never more motivated get this damn disease under control.

Congratulation your 17 years
Of keeping you BG under control. I'm sure you will get it under control again. I recently had my BG go crazy all of a sudden for no reason in spite of me doing the same routine. After 2 weeks it flicked back again to normal pattern. Dr. Could not explain.

You could have and still can cure your diabetes with a plant based whole food diet and lifestyle. It worked for me and I'm willing to help you if you want.

Scarier still. I started weight watchers online 5 weeks ago. Lost only 4 pounds figured I was doomed to stay overweight. My BS has not gone over 140 in 5 weeks. My a1c is averaged to 5.0 What the heck is going on?
