I started a ketogenic diet a week ago and began drinking Keto/OS twice a day. My BG was running around 270-290 consistently and my doc was wanting to up my meds. Within 4 days I've consistently been keeping my BG under 174 and am feeling a lot better. The Keto/OS puts me in ketosis without having to restrict my carbs as much as dietary ketosis alone. I'm still trying to restrict my carbs to around 100 per day but I like the flexibility. Curious to see what my A1C is after 3 months.

I do the Real Meal Revolution, lifestyle. The book was written by Prof Tim Noakes of South Africa. It is basically LCHF or Ketogenic Diet. 3weeks ago my sugar was 18 mmol tonight after supper it was 6.1 mmol. My HbA1C was 13.4 mmol. I can't wait to see it in three months. And the food is amazing.

I eat between 80 to 130 grams of carbs per day and burn 360-430 carbs a day on the treadmill. I got into ketosis in 4 days and haven't stopped for almost 3 months. When I started, my morning sugars were 6.6-6.8and now they are 4.1 to 4.3 max. 2hrs after a 50-60 carb dinner, I'm testing at 5.6-6.1. 4 hrs post, I'm 4.9-5.5. That all occurred about 2 weeks or less being in ketosis. I told my doctor what I'm doing so he is making me get lab work done once a month to make sure I don't get gout due to being in ketosis for long periods of time. Anyways, he said all signs point to remission but I have to keep demonstrating good results for 1 yr period. PS. Never been on meds.
