Default Onglyza - does it work?

After a work injury 6/5/15 I ended up getting cellulitis and found out I have Type 2 diabetes. At the te levels ran between 160-189. Now that I'm taking Onglyza for about a month my BGis consistently over 200, sometimes past 250. I've been dieting and abstaining from sugar faithfully and am feeling extremely frustrated at this point. Has anyone ever or know of any relation to increased BG when taking medication? Should I discontinue and just try the diet?
