Default Dr Bernstein

His book is available on Kindle November 1. I have preordered and looking forward to reading. From what little I have read about Dr. Bernstein, his approach sounds a lot like Protein Power by Drs Eads. That is the book my doctor started me on in 2002.

Had a friend on this diet and she quickly renamed it the "Dr Frankenstein" diet because she needed to go to the clinic every other day for iron injections. She dropped weight very quickly but was pale and sickly looking throughout the treatment. Essentially the same result can be achieved with proper diet/targeted exercise routine.

I have finished reading. He is very hard line, no fruits even though the carbs are counted against the daily limit or goal. I am doing the alpha lipoic acid (plain variety versus R) and the evening primrose plus 500 metformin. Blood sugar is down to the 95-110 range. I think I prefer Power Protein over Dr. Bernstein.
