Welcome to the Forum!

I am sorry to hear of your daughters diagnosis. There are several here walking in your shoes. Feel free to visit the Parents of Children with Diabetes Section. Look for a Diabetes Support a Group in your area. Hopefully, you have an Endocrinologist and a Nutritionist on your team. If not find them, the Support Group can help with recommendations. Good luck with your daughters control, I wish your family the best.

Adding my prayers for your daughter. It is not a death sentence! I was diagnosed at 4, and I'm 52 now with NO effects of diabetes. I work and I'm active. My advice is to know the glucose numbers. Test and test as often as your doctor recommends. Don't be afraid of a high number. It's the only way to get on top of it.
