Talking weed pro

im 27y had type 1 since 13y
smoked weed since 15 and found it has many benefits for diabetics
cant eat all the carbs you want {munchies}
cant deal with neropathy pain {pain reducer} (if pain keeps you awake weed also helps you sleep
Blood sugars got you depressed {pot helps u smile}

ECT....

And if your against it go away lol THC is what you want/need and its carb free and doesnt affect blood sugar, plus you can eat or vaporize it if your a health nut that hates smoke

only thing I see wrong with it is the munchies thing. you're more likely to go nuts with food and not bolus correctly, plus maybe consider if you over bolus and go low, you might not realize it as fast.

as far as I know, the actual drug does not raise (or lower) your blood sugar at all, but I'd be mindful of what you eat and how you manage your diabetes while stoned.

my .02 for what it's worth.

For me, cannabis is a real medicine. There are many positive effects for diabetics. It increases the insulin sensitivity for one, hence why normal people get the munchies. Not me, I lose almost all interest of food while under the influence of cannabis which is great for my BG.

Cannabis is the opposite of almost all pharma out there which has one positive effect and 10-50 adverse ones ranging from mild to severe. Cannabis sort of impairs your cognitive memory temporarily if used for years. However it gives so much in return. Most of its health benefits is from hemp oil, not from smoking it. Look up Rick Simpson. Run from the cure. People who say cannabis is bad are really lost.

I smoke weed and I find nothing wrong with it. Like my blood sugar levels don't increase or decrease. And I don't get the munchies lol so I don't have to worry about over eating. Also you are perfectly able to make rational decisions when you are high. If you decide to smoke, just be aware of ur body and check ur sugar one or twice during the high so u don't trip urself out lol

I'm Logan and yes I'm a girl I'm 19 and I have had type 1 diabetes for 7 years. I have been a stoner (meaning I am literally smoking all the time) since 14, but smoked my first jay when I was 7. I have also recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Smoking weed has gotten me through a lot! And some people say "only down side is the munchies." Huhh??? If your hungry EAT! Just make sure you take your insulin and stick with the healthy foods. It's not as good, but the high feels pretty damn good. <3
