I know what you are going through... I was diagnosed on 12/31/11. I wasn't feeling myself and we decided to go to the hospital and sure enough... Diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes. I'm on to medications. Metformin - 1000 mg and glyburide-2.5 mg. It's no picnic. The problem with me is that my bs is jumping from 220 to 400. This is even with the medications. My levels seem to increase right after meals and right before bedtime. What medications did they put you on? How is your bs levels doing? Believe me, you are not alone in this... Keep your chin up... Due your homework and keep a positive attitude. It truly makes a big difference.

I was diagnosed June 10, 2011. When I was diagnosed I found the videos at dlife.com very helpful as well as the Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD) videos on Youtube.com. Hope they help you as well on your journey. Good luck to you!

I was diagnosed a couple of years ago and had similar spikes to 400 after being put on meds. It takes a little time but your body will start to regulate with the help of medication. Keep a positive attitude and you will do great
