The two-way-sync is between the "cloud" server and a portable device. Many people use this to monitor their children's data; for instance the child uploads the data from their device to the "cloud" server, then the parent downloads the data to their personal iPhone. Yes, the sync is still intermittent. Please read through the "two-way-sync" information to make sure that you need this. If you don't have multiple devices and you don't crash your current portable device, you may not need it.
