I agree, the symptoms are the same for both high and low levels of glucose. So if you feel the symptoms, such as light-headed, dizzy, confusion, or headache, don't always assume it means your glucose is low. Always confirm by testing.

The other day, I was a couple hours late getting dinner. I was having the above symptoms, and I assumed my glucose was low since I hadn't eaten for quite a while. However, I did remember to check my levels, and although I had not eaten, my glucose level was 189mg/dl. I don't know why it was so high after going without eating for several hours. I think I just ate some protein, no carbs, and I did start to feel better after that. Later, at bedtime, my glucose level had gone down to 157mg/dl--better, but still not great.
